Company history

Today's Neumeier GmbH & Co. KG, originally a family-run furniture store, was founded in 1973. Soon the Bavarian company in the south of Munich had its own craft production. In the 1980’s, founder Rudolf Neumeier expanded the company by adding an interior designers office. A crucial step in the company’s history was the opening in 1994 of the first theme hotel of the Europa-Park Rust: El Andaluz. It wholeheartedly carries Neumeiers trademark.

Hereupon Neumeier masterminded all the hotels in the Europa-Park: the Castillo Alcazar in 1999, the Colosseo in 2004, the Santa Isabel in 2007 and the Bell Rock in 2012. The design and execution of the largest hotel resort in Germany made Neumeier one of the leading suppliers in this sector. The hotels, all in the 4 star or 4 star superior categories, have received numerous awards. These include: "Most beautiful hotel property of the year" (Hotelforum), "One of the 10 best hotels in the world" (Neckermann), "Favorite hotel from among 9,000 German hotels" (Focus Online).

Neumeier was awarded the “BestMarke 2015/16”, a prize of the renowned weekly trade journal AHGZ. Germanys hoteliers selected Neumeier as the hotel fitter and furnisher with the best service.

Since 2008 the next family generation has been in charge: Martin Neumeier has taken responsibility as managing partner. He consistently continues the company’s policies. And he always can depend on his team of 25 staff members, and a crew of freelance architects, interior designers and craftsmen. They all have the intention of realising ideas “to make your lounging dreams come true”!
